At ChefLocal IA, we process personal data only as needed to operate your account, profile, and social features.

Data we process

Depending on how you use the service, we may process: account email, password hash, display name, profile fields (diet, allergies, location, age), profile image path, and social feed data (dish photos, recipe title, personal tips, reactions and comments).

Purpose of processing

We process this data to authenticate users, keep your account active, provide profile settings, run the social feed, enable interactions ("That made me hungry" and comments), and maintain core site functionality.

Local storage and server storage

Part of your experience also uses browser storage (IndexedDB/localStorage) for speed and continuity on your device. Account and social data are stored in the server database required for login and shared community features.

Retention

Profile and social records are kept while your account remains active, unless deletion is requested where applicable. Aggregated counters shown in profile may keep historical totals even if individual social posts are removed.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by technical providers strictly to host and operate the service.

Your rights

You can request information about your data and ask for correction or deletion according to applicable law by contacting us.
